The mergers and acquisitions landscape within the print and graphics communications industry is rapidly changing, and few people know it as well as my NAPL colleague, Kathleen Appleton, who heads up the NAPL M&A Outreach Service in which we utilize database research and leverage our contacts to help member-clients connect with candidates for strategic transaction.
Kathleen Appleton spends each and every day immersed in the M&A marketplace, and she's circled back to me today with 3 insights of "what's going on out there". Here are her remarks:
"It's a feeding frenzy as companies who want to grow by "tuck in" acquisition feel a sense of urgency so as to avoid being left out of the industry consolidation";
"Companies of all sizes are pursuing growth by acquisition ---it's not just for bigger companies or the most sophisticaed owners";
"Owners who operate in isolation and are fearful of talking to others are hurting their chances at participating in consolidation affecting the print and graphics communications industry."
So, where are YOU in this picture? Growing by Acquisition? Looking to transition from ownership to preserve value? Not sure? Don't hesitate to contact Kathleen Appleton and I about any of your options.
